TenAsys Ships Update 2 for INtime v2.2.

Latest release supports all uniprocessor PC systems, expands real-time networking support, and includes a preview of a significant new debugger for real-time Windows applications.

Beaverton, OR – July 20, 2004 – TenAsys Corporation announces immediate availability of its newest release of INtime software: v2.22. INtime v2.22 is an update to the INtime v2.2 product and contains several new features to enhance the deployment of real-time Windows XP platforms. This update is free to all existing INtime v2.2 customers.

New features and enhancements in INtime release v2.22 include:
- support for all uniprocessor HALs
- improved interrupt isolation for real-time hardware
- support for the Visual Studio 7 (“.NET”) IDE
- new iWin32 API for real-time applications
- expanded set of real-time network, USB, and fieldbus drivers
- significant new debugger for real-time applications

New features and enhancements included in this update:

Support for all uniprocessor HALs
The INtime real-time extension for Windows can now be used with any platform that uses the standard Microsoft uniprocessor HALs. This means that INtime applications can be easily deployed on virtually all of the uniprocessor Windows NT, Windows 2000 and Windows XP system available today.

Improved interrupt isolation for real-time hardware
The INtime real-time environment now supports the APIC interrupt structure in those systems that include APIC hardware (the majority of PC systems available today). The use of APIC interrupts results in greater flexibility when isolating hardware for exclusive real-time use, by providing more allocation choices for placement of hardware interrupt resources between the native Windows application space and the INtime real-time environment.

Support for Visual Studio 7 (“.NET”)
New INtime project wizards have been added to enable quick creation of applications when using the Visual Studio 7.0 (“.NET”) and Visual Studio 7.1 (“.NET 2003”) development environments. The INtime application loader has also been updated to work with the new .NET file formats.

New iWin32 API
A new real-time API has been added to the INtime programming environment to simplify porting Win32 code to the INtime run-time environment. The iWin32 API emulates a reduced subset of the Win32 API. Expanded real-time network, USB, and fieldbus drivers
The number and types of real-time network device drivers available from TenAsys, for use with INtime real-time Windows applications, have been expanded.

In addition to the long list of Ethernet interfaces that already support the INtime real-time TCP/IP stack, this update includes enhanced support for the Intel Fast Ethernet (10/100 Mbps) controllers and new support for Intel Gigabit Ethernet interfaces.

A real-time USB stack is included for the three standard USB host controller interfaces: OHCI, UHCI and EHCI. Using this stack, INtime applications can directly utilize their USB 1.1/2.0 hardware interfaces for real-time control of USB devices.

DeviceNet, PROFIBUS, CANopen, ControlNet, and other industrial communication protocols can now be directly supported by INtime programs. Real-time device drivers for the Hilscher GmbH line of CIF and COM industrial bus interface cards are available for use with this update.

Beta release of new debugger
A new real-time debugger is included with this update. This debugger is in the early stages of development, but has been included with this update to solicit feedback. Major features in the new debugger include: an improved GUI, full C++ support, support for real-time shared libraries (RSLs), and support for the Visual Studio 7 file formats.
